Painted Pines
Spruce Flats Bog sits in a damp depression in the Laurel Highlands of Western Pennsylvania. You could walk across it in ten minutes, though you might end up part of the landscape if you tried. The whole thing is wetlands, quagmire, quicksand. Only minutes from town, it's one of the most remote and barren places I've ever seen. These pinhole photos could've been taken any time in the last century. The marsh doesn't change.
